Controversial comments on sexual assault

The controversy doesn’t stop there. A month later in October 2017, Tate once again created a stir by claiming women bear responsibility for being sexually assaulted. And, the timing of the comment couldn’t have been better, it was in the midst of the Harvey Weinstein allegations. His now deleted tweet read–

“If you put yourself in a position to be raped, you must [bear] some responsibility. I’m not saying it’s OK you got raped.

“No woman should be abused regardless. However with sexual assault they want to put zero blame on the victim whatsoever.”

“Sexual harassment is disgusting and inexcusable. However, A man looking at you or whistling at you or asking your name isn’t harassment.”

“This belief does discredit as a whole. Stick to the serious definitions and stop pretending normal male behavior is rape,” the thread continued.

“Secondly – harvey. Creep? Obviously. But women have been exchanging sex for opportunity for a very long time. Some did this. Weren’t abused.”

All his tweets and his entire Twitter account, @cobratate, has been permanently banned from Twitter.

Andrew Tate on Women

As if his offensive comments weren’t enough, Tate cooked up some more controversies with his new series of tweets on “Women”.

He wrote–

“I believe as a man I should pay for the first date. I believe I should open the car door, protect her, provide. I believe she is my woman, she should come to me with her problems and I should fix them.”

“that makes me a sexist and horrible person, fine. You agree with the baseline and everyone agrees with the foundations of what I say but, when I build on top of it, they try to pretend I am sexist.”

He continued: “By extension, if I have responsibility over her, then I must have a degree of authority.”

Tate had a heated exchange with Twitch star xQc, as they both clashed over their views on gender equality and relationships. During the live video, Tate said “women belong in the home and they are the property of a man.” He exclaimed–

“One of the best things about being a man is being territorial and being able to say ‘that is mine.’”

He said if a man sleeps with a woman while being in a relationship with his girlfriend, it shouldn’t be counted as cheating. Rather if his girlfriend speaks to another man, he would consider it as cheating.

The ex-kickboxing champion singled out Dubai and Romania as religious places where people value a higher power that is way beyond money and government. He said–

“I find it offensive that a police officer in England will stop me and refuse to take a bribe. I’ll tell you why; it’s because he will sit there and go ‘no, no, this is the law; law and order’ and pretend that the law means something, and f*ck me over.”

“But if you’re a billionaire or Boris Johnson, you can go to Epstein’s island; you can f*cking throw parties during COVID, you can do whatever the f*ck you want. So the whole idea behind law and order is a lie and bull sh*t.”

“If corruption exists, which it does, let us all play. I like living in a society where my money, influence, and power means I’m not below or beholden to any of these bull sh*t laws.”
